Hope On Foundation’s first survey conducted in Balmiki Camp, Begumpur, Malviya Nagar, New Delhi with due support and patronize by Mr. Somnath Bharti M.L.A. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Survey Urban Slum-Dwellers "Balmiki Camp, Begumpur"

We cover existing slums, and so does not engage with questions either of past evictions or of the homeless. We have covered the entire camp containing 2000 slum-dwelling households and asks them questions about their access to various services and transfer schemes, what they do about the various problems they face, and about their engagement with the political system more generally.

Our sample consists of current slum-dwellers and therefore, does not engage with issues of past slum evictions, which have been an important area of contention.
